COME HOME FOR SOME PIE
September 23, 2009
Sale to Take Place in Conjunction with Homecoming Events this Weekend
A tradition continues at the Littleton High School Homecoming Celebration this weekend: Home-baked pies. The Littleton Crusader Pride Booster Club will hold its Fourth Annual Crusader Pride “Come Home and Eat Pie” Sale at Homecoming events on Friday and Saturday –until the last pie sells.
Homecoming Week activities begin on Wednesday afternoon, September 23, this year, when the Littleton Crusader Golf team takes on Lisbon and White Mountains Regional at Bethlehem Country Club. The team’s “Golden Wedge” competition takes place that day, as well.
Events continue against White Mountains Regional on Saturday the 26th at Remich Park, with varsity field hockey at 11 am; varsity boys soccer at 1 pm; and varsity girls soccer at 3 pm.
“At Homecoming, people find their way back to Littleton to renew friendships and relive pleasant memories from growing up,” says booster club director Terri Fillion. “And what memory could better than home-baked pie?”
The selection of homemade pies will be available for purchase at the concession table at Remich Park beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning and throughout the day. Proceeds from the sale will help Crusader Pride Booster Club support local sports programs.
The booster club will also be selling discount cards valid for unlimited uses at local businesses, as well as Crusader Pride T-Shirts. The Fifth Annual Battle of the Banners voting will take place, as well.
Last minute bakers are welcome to contribute a pie or two – or more – for the sale. Simply bring them to Remich Park Saturday morning.
To join the Crusader Pride Booster Club, visit the concession table during Homecoming. Membership for 2010 is free!

The Beat Goes On
June 6, 2009
Not only did your Crusader Girls pull a softball playoff upset, our Crusader Boys did as well, beating 3rd-seeded Hinsdale Thursday.
Now you have a dilemma: Head north and catch the girls at 4 pm today or head down Route 302 to Lisbon for the boys’ game?
Remember if you head to Lisbon, you may or may not encounter construction delays near Lyman. Allow an extra 10 minutes to be there by 4 o’clock, just in case.
GO CRUSADERS!
Littleton Girls Rock!
June 4, 2009
Little Crusader girls have been busy making a name for our school and town this year!
This weekend, our girls tennis team—including three seniors whose class trip was interrupted by a 3:30 a.m. Saturday departure from New York—took part in Class M/S finals against Derryfield. They came up on the short end of the scorecard against the powerhouse from down south. But they can hold their heads high after amassing a 11-2 regular season record and earning Littleton’s first spot in the finals this millennium!
The softball team is looking to continue the 2008-2009 Lady Crusaders tradition of top-notch performance, which actually precedes the tennis team’s accomplishment. After yesterday’s 9-0 shutout over fifth-seeded Moultonborough, our 12th-place Crusaders travel to number-four Groveton on Saturday. Check out www.nhiaa.org and click on “Tournaments” for the latest.
Girls Tennis in Finals Saturday
May 28, 2009
After racking up an 11-2 regular season record, our Littleton Girls Varsity Tennis team beat Conant at Evergreen Sports Center yesterday to advance to the Class M-S finals. They take on the winner of tomorrow’s Derryfield-Interlakes match-up.
Finals take place, weather permitting, at 11 am on Saturday, May 30, at Plymouth State University.
Plan to come out and (quietly and politely, of course) cheer on our Lady Crusaders. Let’s make a strong showing!

Leave Work Early
May 4, 2009
Today’s weather forecast calls for 65 degrees and sunny in Littleton. Why not skip out of work early and head to Remich Park or Apthorp to catch our varsity Crusaders in action?
Our Crusader boys tennis team takes on Berlin, starting at 4 pm. Games are split between courts at Remich and those at the corner of Redington and Washington Streets in Apthorp.
Also at 4:00, our Crusaders welcome Class M White Mountains Regional to our local diamonds—baseball at Remich Park, softball at Apthorp Common.
Feel like making a road trip today instead? Girls tennis plays in Berlin and middle school baseball and softball travel to Profile—all for 4:00 contests.
Coming up later this week: Middle school softball and baseball at home against Groveton on Thursday at 4, Whitefield on Friday at 4:30, and doubleheaders against Woodsville on Saturday, starting at noon; varsity tennis on Friday against Sanborn—boys home, girls away; and varsity baseball and softball at Pittsburg on Friday at 4:30.
